Police in Atlanta are investigating the alleged theft of unreleased Beyoncรฉ music from a car on July 8, according to a report filed that same day.
The caller who contacted police, identified as Christopher Grant, and Diandre Blue met with officers after reporting their rented Jeep Wagoneer had been broken into about an hour after they parked the vehicle. The trunk window was damaged and two suitcases were taken from inside the car, according to the report.
โMr. Grant advised he was also carrying some personal sensitive information for the musician Beyoncรฉ,โ the police report states.
โHe advised he was her choreographer, and Mr. Diandre Blue was a dancer for her, and that her hard drives for her upcoming show in Atlanta were stolen also. The hard drives contained water marked music, some un-released music, footage plans for the show, and past and future set list.โ
Officers were also able to ping a laptop allegedly taken from the rented vehicle and a pair of Apple AirPods and use that location information to pinpoint a vehicle of interest. They dusted for fingerprints, which helped them โretrieve two very light prints,โ according to the report, while cameras in the area of the parking deck where the Jeep was parked recorded the incident.
โInvestigators with the Atlanta Police Departmentโs Larceny from Auto Unit led the investigation and have subsequently secured an arrest warrant for a suspect,โ the police said in the release, although the personโs identity has not been publicly shared.
Representatives for Beyoncรฉ did not immediately respond to NBC News’ request for comment.
Beyoncรฉ recently wrapped up four concerts on her โCowboy Carter Tourโ in Atlanta on July 10, 11, 13 and 14.
