Ariana Madix is setting the record straight about her future with “Love Island.”
After the Peacock series wrapped Season 7 on July 13, some viewers started wondering if Madix would return to host the show again.
Luckily for viewers, she addressed the chatter head-on after seeing a TikTok video suggesting that she was leaving the show.
The video, posted by TikTok user @dylanrechenthin87, shows footage of contestants sharing positive messages for Madix after interacting with her throughout the season.
The TikTok user added the following text over the video: โThis was definitely Love Island giving Ariana her farewell .. she really is gone after tomorrow.โ
The caption also hinted at saying goodbye to Madix as host: “We will miss you Ariana.”
In the comments section, the “Vanderpump Rules” alum squashed any rumors that she might be stepping away from her role as host.
“Thank you๐I’m not leaving. I’ll see you guys really soon. ๐,” she commented.
Fans in the comments expressed their delight that Madix would be keeping her role as host. One wrote, “Thank god! I wouldn’t watch if it wasn’t for her.” Another called her the “best love island host.”
Madix joined the series as host in Season 6, taking over for actor Sarah Hyland. Arielle Vandenberg also previously hosted the U.S. iteration.
Ahead of the Season 7 premiere, Madix told TODAY.com she was excited to switch things up for the new season and โcompletely throw out the playbook from last time.โ
โI think that if we go into it trying to replicate or trying to re-create, you get stuck in a comparison mindset, and then that never gives you that freedom to be yourself, or to kind of create new moments,โ she said.
Next up, the reality star will be co-hosting the Season 7 โLove Island USAโ reunion with Andy Cohen on Monday, Aug. 25, at 6 p.m. PT/9 p.m. ET.
Looking ahead to the fall, Madix is also set to host “Love Island Games” Season 2, which premieres on Tuesday, Sept. 16.
Per a press release, the show will feature stars from multiple “Love Island” series around the gold, including USA, UK, Australia and more.
โIn this cheeky new iteration, couples will compete in challenges while navigating dating, eliminations, recoupling, dramatic arrivals, and new competition twists and turns that help control the game like never before,” the press release reads.
