Dr. Tonya McLeod offers free consultations to former Satin Med Spa patients after its sudden closure.
CHARLOTTE, N.C. — As a partner with Piedmont Plastic Surgery and Dermatology, Dr. Tonya McLeod says it’s important to meet patients at their needs. It’s why she says she’s providing the opportunity to support Satin Med Spa patients who have prepaid and still need help.
“Anytime a business is closed, it’s unfortunate for our community because there is an economic impact, there are employees that work there that provide for their families,” McLeod said.
That’s especially true for Satin Med Spa patients who say they paid ahead of time for treatment before the spa suddenly closed its doors in May, citing a ‘devastating outside situation’.
“In this specific situation, the clients and patients that have prepaid for services, that have memberships that are now at a loss and not able to recover that money or those services,” McLeod said.
To help these people, McLeod is now setting aside time outside of her regular work hours.
“I’m gonna be doing this in my own free time,” McLeod said. “I will take some time to treat these patients and make sure that they are supported and get what they need.”
Laser hair removal, injection services, and rejuvenation services are some of the procedures the patients need.
“In our community, we’re here to support one another,” McLeod said. “I would like to offer any assistance that I can. I’ve spoken to some industry reps, and they are in full support as well. So, if any of those clients and patients that were impacted by the abrupt closure of Satin Med Spa if they come as a patient to see me at Piedmont Plastic Surgery and Dermatology, we can do a cosmetic consultation for them at no charge.”
Satin Med Spa has not returned a request for comment on their status or possible reopening.
