Halle Berry doesnโt care what people think โ especially when it comes to her age, her body and her relationships.
The “Monster’s Ball” actor, 58, known for her candid conversations about health and body positivity, recently took to social media to celebrate her liberating outlook on aging.
The video posted in June features the Oscar winner dancing joyfully in a white bikini to a song called “Prelims (mind & meat)” by her partner, Van Hunt.
In the clip, Berry struts confidently in front of the camera before accidentally losing her bikini bottoms and humorously running out of the frame.
โWhen your manโs music is so good you just canโt help yourself !โ Berry captioned the playful post.
Fans applauded the star, who will turn 59 in August, for her bold display of confidence, and Berry gave the love right back while reflecting on what she called her โsecond halfโ of life.
One commenter wrote, โPeople are always afraid to act naturally because they are afraid of the opinions of the people in front of them. You are giving an example that if someone wants to do something, he should do it.โ
Her response embodied how she chooses to live her life every day.
โyes life is short and when youโre on the second half you really have no more f—s to give you just choose to live it out loud and enjoy it! โค๏ธโ she wrote in response.
Another fan expressed their love for Berry’s video, saying that she should “keep living life freely” and “forget the haters.”
“What haters????” Berry responded.
“Life is short and I’m on the second half- gonna live it to the fullest unapologetically free!! โค๏ธ to you always,” she added.
A third person wrote, “Isn’t being older so freeing?!! It is for me.”
Berry couldn’t agree more.
“The incredible thing is the older I get the more free I become. Life is amazing right now and I want the world to know it,” she wrote. “I want the world to know we are not done. We are just getting started in this world as our best selves !!! โค๏ธ”
The heartwarming moment is the latest example of Berry reducing stigmas surrounding aging, femininity and relationships.
In August 2023, the “Die Another Day” actor wrote an essay for Womenโs Health about embracing menopause.
โThe most important thing about owning your sexuality as a woman is accepting the station youโre atโand embracing that. And I say that because Iโm smack dab in the middle of menopause,โ she wrote.
That same year, Berry made waves when she posted a nude photo on a balcony captioned, “i do what i wanna do.”
