Kelley Wolf Posts Lengthy Instagram About Being Held Against Her Will By Friends

Kelley Wolf says a group of her friends “held her against (her) will” months ago because they were “worried” about her.

The author and former “Real World” franchise star, 48, who was hospitalized last week after she filmed herself being detained by law enforcement officers in Utah, said June 19 on Instagram that “a small but very vocal group of PC lex-friends” told her they had been concerned about her.

“No one showed up. No one lit a candle or asked a question. They called the cops from a beach town in Florida or somewhere seaside… while sipping cocktails,” she wrote alongside a selfie that showed her smiling.

“That’s not love. That’s control,” she added. “What happened was legal. But it wasn’t right. And it should never be that easy to weaponize concern — especially against women.”

Wolf’s lengthy post comes less than two weeks after she and her husband, former “Party of Five” star Scott Wolf, announced June 10 that they were divorcing after 21 years of marriage.

Later the same day, Scott Wolf told TODAY.com in a statement that he was the one who filed for divorce from his wife, calling it “the most difficult decision” of his life.

In her June 19 Instagram post, Kelley Wolf said she had “initiated a separation almost a year ago.”

“I’ve been trying to file for divorce for months, but delays with legal counsel slowed the process,” she wrote. “Yes, the official petition came from the other party, but let the record show: I’ve been grieving this marriage for years.”

Three days after the couple announced their split, Kelley Wolf shared a disturbing video that showed her being detained by law enforcement officers in Utah.

One officer in the video informed Kelley Wolf that she was “not going to jail,” adding that he and the other officers wanted to get her “some help.”

The officer also said he wanted to “make sure” Kelley Wolf was OK after learning she recently made “concerning” comments to loved ones.

After Kelley Wolf posted the video to Instagram, Utah County’s Sheriff’s Office issued a press release saying that they responded to Sundance Resort “for a report that a female needed some help.”

“Upon speaking with the female, our deputies learned that she had made concerning comments to a family member, and she also made similar comments to our deputies,” the statement read, adding that because of that, she was transported to a local hospital.

While in the hospital, Kelley Wolf shared several updates on Instagram. She claimed in one reel that she had been taken against her will and urged followers to check on her children: Jackson, 16; Miller, 12; and Lucy, 11.

She followed up on June 18 by sharing a pic of her arm stacked with gold bracelets, and what appeared to be a hospital bracelet, resting beside a drink. “Hi,” she wrote in text overlaid on the image.

In her most recent Instagram post on June 19, Kelley Wolf shared her feelings about the end of her marriage, explaining that she was “far past” the grief phase and was now “well into the healing.”

She also addressed online critics who have expressed concern about her mental health since her hospitalization. Though Wolf said being single now is “surprisingly great,” she added that she “might get married” again some day.

“So if you could stop calling me crazy, I’d appreciate it,” she wrote, adding, “You absolute idiots.”

“Some of you crossed lines — contacted my family, even my children. One allegedly threatened to show up at my house with a tire iron. I’ll be handling that legally.

“But don’t worry about me. I’m good. I’m rested. My kids are safe. And I’m finally free,” she added.

She also wrote in overlaid text on her selfie image, “Divorce is hard. However, it’s not as hard on the adults as it is the kids, which is why I want you to leave them alone. Are we clear?”

She reshared her selfie in her Instagram story, adding a note directly to her children.

“And to my kids ….momma is a badass. She’s nice but damn,” she wrote in more overlaid text.

“And my kids and I will be, I hope, going on a vacay … so … yeah. Bye for now,” she added.
