From the moment they met in the villa on “Love Island USA,” Jeremiah Brown and Huda Mustafa were inseparable. Jeremiah, a 25-year-old model from Seattle, and Huda, a 24-year-old personal trainer from Raleigh, North Carolina, formed an instant connection that would dominate the early weeks of the reality dating show, airing through the summer on Peacock.
Now, as Season 7 continues its third week, Huda and Jeremiah’s relationship is becoming the talk of the internet. Here’s what’s going on and what went down in the latest two episodes.

Who are Jeremiah and Huda?
Jeremiah and Huda have been coupled up since Episode 1, when the initial group of women got to choose their partners after a game that involved a bit of kissing. Their connection was immediate. When former Islander Yulissa tried to kiss Jeremiah during the game, he deflected and opted for a kiss on the cheek instead — signaling quite early he had eyes for just Huda. By Episode 3, they laughed about being the “mom and dad” of the villa.
Huda actually is a mother, to a 4-year-old daughter. She chose not to share this with the Islanders until she established trust with them. When she confided in Jeremiah at the end of Episode 3, he was shocked but said it didn’t change his feelings for her and promised not to tell.

As re-couplings and new bombshells have come and gone, Huda and Jeremiah have consistently stuck together, even through disagreements and other Islanders doubting them.
That is, until Episode 12 …
What happened in ‘Love Island USA’ Episode 12?
Cracks began to show in Huda and Jeremiah’s relationship during the June 15 episode. During a group challenge hosted by “Summer House” star Paige DeSorbo, Jeremiah kissed fellow Islander Olandria, which clearly bothered Huda.
“I was not expecting Jeremiah and Olandria to, like, actually kiss,” Huda said in her confessional. “I didn’t want to see that going on.”
When she confronted Jeremiah about it, he doubled down on his actions and responded coolly, “Yeah, it’s a challenge.”
The situation escalated when other Islanders began side-eyeing Huda’s reaction to the kiss. Nic asked Jeremiah if Huda’s protective behavior was “over the top,” wondering if that level of reaction would be “a problem” for him in a “real relationship.”
Jeremiah shrugged off the comments, responding simply, “I mean I can’t control what she do.”
But the real shock came when host Ariana Madix swept through the villa to lead a re-coupling. In a “Love Island USA” first, America had voted on pairings for the new bombshells — Pepe, Iris and Jalen — and those left single would be at risk. In the most surprising twist, viewers chose to pair Jeremiah with bombshell Iris, effectively separating him from Huda.
The re-coupling left Huda single and vulnerable. When the remaining coupled Islanders had to vote someone out of the villa, Huda received two votes — from Nic and Ace, two of Jeremiah’s close pals — but was ultimately saved when another Islander, Charlie, was eliminated instead.
What happened after that in Episode 13?
The fallout from Episode 12 — from America choosing to separate Huda and Jeremiah, from Nic and Ace voting to eliminate Huda, and from Jeremiah’s massive shrug at all of it — was immediate and explosive in Episode 13. Jeremiah didn’t speak to Huda for the rest of the evening after the re-coupling, later saying he was “checked out.”
Nic and Ace got in front of Jeremiah, though. Their conversation escalated quickly, with Nic suggesting Huda had been marking Jeremiah with hickeys so other women wouldn’t engage.
“Both of you are just closed off, it’s been tunnel vision since day one,” Nic said.
Jeremiah defended their connection, saying, “We instantly liked each other and then we explored that further.”
“You’re lying,” Ace replied. “You act like you’re all about one person from day one. That’s scamming. … How are you so sure about someone 30 seconds in?”
Meanwhile, Huda was spinning about the viewers’ choice to separate her and Jeremiah. Does America not like her for Jeremiah, or is America seeing something about Jeremiah that she isn’t? It appears she chose to believe the latter: She raged to the girls that Jeremiah didn’t check on her after the re-coupling and raged some more about it from the shower, which Jeremiah overheard.
If those seeds of doubt weren’t planted by the guys before, that shower moment might’ve done it for Jeremiah. When Jeremiah and Iris were sent on a date, along with the other re-coupled Islanders, he said he was open to new connections.
“I’m excited to hit the reset button with you,” he told her. “America put us together for one reason or another.”
When the couples returned from their dates, Huda refused to greet the returning Islanders, instead sitting alone by the pool being “unbothered,” as she put it. Jeremiah clocked it, muttering, “Oh, wow.”
The breaking point came when Huda overheard Jeremiah debriefing the rest of the boys on his date with Iris, saying, “Huda’s cooked, I’m not gonna lie.” He revealed that he’d heard Huda in the shower the night before calling him names, like “b—” and “liar.”
“Truthfully now in hindsight, I would have rather Huda have gone home, just because of the way she reacted,” Jeremiah told the guys.
Huda emerged from behind a wall where she’d been eavesdropping and confronted Jeremiah directly: “By all means, explore,” she said, flipping him off.
The episode ended with a private conversation where Jeremiah apologized to Huda for not being there when she almost got eliminated, but Huda wasn’t having it.
“You’re the reason why everything happened. You’re the reason why I reacted the way I reacted,” she told him. “I don’t want s— to do with you.”
With tonight’s re-coupling approaching, the fate of what was once the villa’s strongest couple hangs in the balance.
