Erika Slezak to Appear on β€˜General Hospital’


Soap opera legend Erika Slezak has been admitted to “General Hospital.”

The longtime star of “One Life to Live” will appear on another classic soap opera this fall, “General Hospital” executive producer Frank Valentini confirmed on X on June 12.

“I am thrilled to confirm that my dear friend and former ‘One Life to Live’ colleague, Erika Slezak, will appear on @GeneralHospital this Fall,” Valentini wrote. “Stay tuned as we prepare to introduce another daytime legend to Port Charles.”

Slezak and Valentini worked together on “One Life to Live” from 1986 through the conclusion of its broadcast run in 2012.

Slezak, 78, began on “One Life to Live” in 1971 as Victoria “Viki” Lord, replacing Joanne Dorian in portraying the character. She remained with the show until its final season in 2013, when it was revived as an online program.

The soap opera icon won a record six Daytime Emmys for outstanding lead actress in a drama series and was nominated three other times in the category for her work on “One Life to Live.”

The daughter of Tony Award-winning actor Walter Slezak, she also has made appearances on the CBS show “Blue Bloods” and reportedly has a role in the upcoming film “Song Sung Blue,” featuring Hugh Jackman and Kate Hudson.

Slezak joins “General Hospital” a year after losing her daughter, Amanda Davies, who died at 42 in January 2024. Davies had played the teen version of Viki Lord in flashback scenes on “One Life to Live” in the early 2000s. Slezak shared Davies with husband Brian Davies, and the two also have a son, Michael Davies.
