Fenwick’s has been part of Charlotte’s Myers Park community since 1984.
CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Fenwick’s, a restaurant that has served Charlotte’s Myers Park community since 1984, announced it will close its doors in March after four decades of operation.
Owner Don Rabb shared the news in a heartfelt post on social media this week.
The restaurant, which began in a converted Steak & Egg diner, became a community gathering spot over the years. Rabb and his late wife Catherine transformed the space into what would become one of Charlotte’s most enduring neighborhood establishments.
“When Catherine and I first embarked on this journey, we never imagined the profound impact this restaurant would have on our lives,” Rabb wrote in his announcement.
The decision to close comes several years after the passing of co-founder Catherine Rabb, whom Don described as “the heart and soul” of the venture. Her influence extended throughout the restaurant, from menu development to creating the welcoming atmosphere that became Fenwick’s hallmark.
The closure aligns with Rabb’s decision to retire, he said.
While no specific closing date was announced, Rabb invited the community to join in celebrating the restaurant’s final months of operation.
