Walton Goggins is refusing to talk about his relationship with his โWhite Lotusโ co-star Aimee Lou Wood.
The 53-year-old actor shut down a London Times reporter who asked him about his and Wood’s rumored behind-the-scenes feud. โIโm not gonna have that conversation,โ Goggins said, per the London Times.
The reporter, Ed Potton, described in his published piece how the interview went “off the rails” after he brought up the fact that Goggins and Wood, 31, who played love interests “The White Lotus,” no longer follow each other on Instagram.
The article said that Goggins’ publicists โ two were present โ intervened.
First, Gogginsโ American publicist interrupted the interview to tell Potton, โWeโre not going there, thank you.โ The actor’s British publicist also interjected to say, โNext question.โ
Rumors of a feud between Goggins and Wood heated up after fans noticed the pair, who once praised each other in effusive Instagram comments, no longer interacted on the platform, yet they still follow other โWhite Lotusโ Season 3 cast members.
Though the conversation pivoted to Goggins’ upcoming movie, “The Uninvited,” written and directed by Goggins’ wife Nadia Conners, it eventually made its way to a recent “Saturday Night Live” parody of “The White Lotus,” which was slammed for poking fun at Wood’s appearance.
Though Wood criticized the sketch โย which featured โSNLโ cast member Sarah Sherman wearing prosthetic teeth โย for being โmean and unfunny,โ Goggins, who hosts โSNLโ on May 10, applauded it on the showโs official Instagram page.
โHahahahahhahaha Amazzzingggg,โ Goggins wrote in a since-deleted comment.
Right after Potton brought up the “SNL” sketch, the actor’s British publicist interrupted the interview again to say, “Shall we talk aboutย ‘The Uninvited’ย a bit more?”
When Potton reacted with a “splutter,” Goggins mocked him. “Thinly veiled, my friend. The thing youโre least interested in,” he teased.
Before the interview concluded, Potton brought up Wood again only to be cut off once more. “There is no conversation to be had about that. Sharing politics on social media โ itโs in a vacuum,” Goggins told him.
When Potton made a last “forlorn” attempt to get Goggins talking about his co-star, Goggins became irritated. โWhat the f—, Ed!โ Goggins said. โCome on buddy. Wow.โ
Goggins’ American publicist then stepped in a final time, telling the reporter, โWeโre going to end it there.”
Actor Jason Isaacs, who co-starred alongside Goggins and Wood in Season 3 of the HBO drama, was eager to shut down speculation about behind-the-scenes tensions at the show during an interview on the April 9 episode of SiriusXMโsย โThe Happy Hour.โย
Isaacs joked that fans who sleuth the internet for gossip โย like an โamateur Sherlock Holmes” โย should cut it out.
“First of all, itโs none of your business,โ said Isaacs, adding, “Nobody has the slightest clue what theyโre talking about.โ
Isaacs previously revealed that he had been “involved in some off-screen drama” while filming the series.
โYou couldnโt avoid one other. There are tensions and difficulties, I donโt know if they spilled from on screen to off-screen, or if it would have happened anyway,โ Isaacs said during a February 2025 interview with The Guardian.
โThere were alliances that formed and broke, romances that formed and broke, friendships that formed and broke. Itโs a long period of time for people to be away from their family with an open bar and all the wildness being in Thailand allows,” he added.
โI was in some ways used to it, but within a couple of weeks my wife (who was with him on set and used to be an actor) went, โSome of these people are f—— mad.โ I said, โNo, itโs just a bunch of actors away on location, love. Youโve forgotten what itโs like.โโ
