Charlotte businesses gear up for Lovin’ Life Music Fest

Local establishments are anticipating a surge in customers during the three-day event.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Local businesses in Charlotte are preparing for what could be their biggest economic boom so far this year as the Lovin’ Life Music Fest comes to Uptown Charlotte this weekend.

The three-day festival is expected to bring in at least 20,000 visitors each day to the Queen City, creating significant opportunities for businesses, particularly those located near the festival grounds.

Just across the street from the festival’s center stage, the Market at 7th Street is home to more than a dozen local vendors. It’s gearing up for the influx of music fans.

“It’s gonna be a little like crazy,” said Raffele Patrizi, owner of Mano Bella, one of the market’s vendors.

Patrizi and his staff have been preparing all week for what they anticipate will be an exceptionally busy weekend.

“Pretty much all week we are preparing,” Patrizi explained. “We are making like four times more the pasta that we usually do on the weekend, but we are doing four times more the pasta of the weekend in each of the day, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.”

With First Ward Park located directly across the street from the Market, vendors are optimistic this could be their most profitable weekend of the year.

Patrizi hopes to leave a strong impression on festivalgoers who visit his establishment.

“How they enjoy phenomenal musicians, they come here and they enjoy some very good and healthy food, healthy environment, and savor my environment, and they just have a wonderful and enjoyable weekend,” he said. “This is what we want.”

Organizers with Lovin’ Life Music Fest aren’t the only ones excited about the event’s potential impact. The economic boost is expected to benefit numerous local establishments throughout Uptown as visitors explore the area during the three-day celebration.
